When Amanda Byram, a renowned international television presenter and a strong advocate for healthy living, mental well-being, and self-love, embarked on her debut book "The Switch," she knew that she wanted to collaborate with only one agency to produce the visual content – JAM Creative. Building upon the successful launch of her sportswear brand with JAM's assistance, Amanda once again turned to JAM Creative to create the cover shoot in collaboration with photographer Ray Burmiston and to capture a significant portion of the book's photos. Furthermore, JAM worked closely with Amanda Byram, known for her roles in shows like Total Wipeout, Paradise Hotel, and The Swan, as well as her book publisher, Gill Publishing, to design the entire book.
This included the selection of typefaces, graphical elements, pictures, and cover art. The book, spanning 300 pages, featured no less than 60 images encompassing various themes such as lifestyle, fitness, and cookery. Achieving such a diverse range of shots required meticulous planning, execution, and ongoing communication with the author and publisher to ensure Amanda's vision was translated cohesively. In addition to photography, JAM skilfully incorporated diagrams and charts in an accessible manner to demystify complex scientific concepts, including biochemistry, psychology, sociology, and neurology.
Following the book's launch, JAM played a pivotal role in managing Amanda's social media channels.
Collaborating with PR experts Beak Communications, they provided regular video and photo content to promote the book, including a press tour in the UK and Ireland featuring contributions from fellow celebrities and self-help influencers such as Russell Brand and Fearne Cotton. JAM also designed and implemented the book's website, complete with an e-commerce platform enabling fans to purchase signed copies directly from the author.
"The Switch" garnered immense success, receiving widespread acclaim for its comprehensive content, both in writing and visual representation. The collaboration between Amanda Byram and JAM Creative resulted in a compelling and impactful book that resonated with readers and critics alike.
