When Charlotte OC embarked on her highly successful UK tour, JAM Creative was chosen to conceive, develop, and deliver the screen content that would complement her live performance. Collaborating closely with Charlotte OC and her creative team, including Creative Director Andy Turner, JAM Creative set out to create a captivating visual experience that would enhance the artist's live show and captivate the audience. The ambitious shoot aimed to produce a 12-minute sequence featuring Charlotte OC's two major singles, "Medicine Man" and "Blackout." These tracks were mixed to include intros, outros, and musical interludes, allowing for coordinated lighting direction and choreography that would create an immersive and harmonious experience.
The shoot took place at Jet Studios in London and began with captivating animations being projection mapped onto the artist herself, creating a stunning visual effect. Subsequently, Charlotte was positioned amidst a carefully arranged setup of Astera Titan lights, forming a picturesque frame within which she could perform.
Additional visuals were captured against a white backdrop, allowing for a focus on the elaborate costumes provided by celebrity stylist Karl Willet. The day's shoot concluded with the capture of a series of flares being ignited, aiming to capture as much of the performance in-camera as possible.
Following the successful shoot, JAM Creative's in-house post-production team embarked on the editing process, employing a range of techniques including both 2D and 3D animation. The goal was to create an otherworldly and captivating sequence that would resonate with the artist, her fans, and industry professionals alike.
The final result was a stunning fusion of music and visuals that not only complemented Charlotte OC's live performance but also added a unique and mesmerising layer to the show. The collaboration between JAM Creative and Charlotte OC demonstrated the power of creative innovation in the realm of live music experiences.
