When the exciting fraternal production duo fourteenbillion collaborated with singer/songwriter Anna Strake on their energetic debut single 'All Falls Down', their label Alacran Records turned to JAM Creative to create the assets that would herald their entrance into the dance music scene. Alongside designing the musical act's logo and the single's artwork, JAM also crafted an animated pop promo that was intricately intertwined with the song's essence. The song "All Falls Down" centres on finding strength after the end of a relationship or friendship, highlighting how every sad conclusion offers an opportunity for the joy of renewal and rebirth.
JAM's interpretation took the form of a 3D animated film that complemented the song's narrative. Drawing inspiration from the band's name and the concept of fourteen billion years of cosmic evolution, the animation was set in deep space. The story follows an astronaut alone on a space station, adrift in the cosmos. When a pink star emerges from behind a planet, he discovers himself hovering above a black hole. With no alternative, he plunges into the void, embarking on an extraordinary journey.
The animation pays homage to "2001: A Space Odyssey," particularly the Star-Gate sequence, which depicts the spiritual journey of the main character through cosmic consciousness. Individual awareness merges with the universal, leading to enlightenment. This journey culminates in the character's rebirth as the Star-Child, echoing the musical narrative that the songwriters intended. The combined efforts of the logo, artwork, and pop promo contributed to the success of the debut track. With over a million clicks, the song launched the brothers of fourteenbillion into stardom, showcasing their creative talent and the power of collaboration.
